Regarding Marine Business Associations' Visit to CCEC Oct 21, 2011 The purpose of organizing this visit is for the end-users to gain a better understanding of Cummins JV marine products in China, and of the state of affairs regarding product development in response to new policies in environmental protection and emissions control. The Associations are made up of individual independent companies, each being represented by its own member(s) in the delegation. The fleet under the associations' umbrella use marine engines/products imported from traditional industrial nations, including US/UK Cummins, CAT, Perkins, Volvo, Yanmar, etc. The fleet total about 100-120 vessels, and propulsion engine ratings are in the 600 ¨C 1800HP range. Through Shun Fung¡¯s unrelenting efforts in the past 10 years or more in promotion, customers have begun to accept CCEC¡¯s marine products. CCEC engine population is in the range of 40-60 engines in the K19¡¯s (500, 600HP) and the K38¡¯s (1000, 1200HP), and that is out of a total population of 200-250 vessels and 400 engines. Shun Fung intends to use this visit to enhance customer¡¯s understanding of and confidence in CCEC products, and hopes that this effort will further help to open Hong Kong¡¯s market to CCEC products. ¡¡ |
