This
section concentrates on introducing Shun Fung Group's
marine generator set assembly operation in Zhongshan City.
As Cummins and CCEC marine dealer, Shun Fung sells and
service not only propulsion engines, but also marine
generator sets. For that reason
Zhongshan Shun Fung has mastered the techniques in genset
assembly as far back as at least 2004.
As the
China market was becoming mature, and more and more marine
gensets have required certification by the China
Classification Society (CCS), Shun Fung Group began
conceptualizing an ex-factory test stand and testing
system that were to be recognized by CCS as adequate for
certification in order to facilitate CCS certification.
Guangzhou Shun Fung took the
first giant step in establishing contacts with the CCS
local chapter, after which Zhongshan Shun Fung continued
with a significant investment in the hardware and software
of a test stand that CCS recognized as adequate for the
certification of individual gensets. With Guangzhou Shun
Fung's unrelenting support and CCS's professional
guidance, the first marine genset that complied with CCS
requirements for certification was ex-factory'd in May
2010.
Zhongshan Shun Fung's test
stand can currently handle a 600kW total rating, 600kw
individually or 2 x 300kW units in parallel. However, this
limit is only a deliberate decision to optimize the
investment in the resistor load bank in accordance with
market requirements.
The test stand can accomodate
2 x K-50 driven marine generator sets, a set-up that
reserves capacity for future expansion in testing
capacity. |
